Demo - Audium/Genesys GVP

   

Pamet creates next generation IVR application.

Challenge

Pamet was faced with a challenge to develop and maintain VoiceXML application using Audium IVR Java based platform (www.audiumcorp.com) and to deploy it on the Genesys Voice Platform (www.genesyslab.com). Both platforms are VoiceXML compliant and both have a leading position in the market.

Audium platform includes an open Integrated Development Environment, an SDK, and reusable dialog components that simplify speech application development and maintenance.

Genesys Voice Platform is a software-only VoiceXML gateway that runs on off-the-shelf hardware and software. This Voice Platform is based on VoiceXML and interoperates with any voice application that is written to this open standard.

Pamet's Solution

Pamet is Genesys as well as Audium partner. During the last two years Pamet has gained significant practical knowledge and experience in working with Audium and Genesys’ products.

Pamet has set up a laboratory environment and performed detail testing against Audium and GVP installation. During those tests we found that Audium server work smoothly with GVP VoiceXML gateway and decided to start with VoiceXML application development.

VoicePCX description

VoicePCX is second generation IVR application. It is developed using Audium Java VoiceXML platform and then deployed to the Genesys GVP 6.5. VoiceXML gateway.

The application opens voice communication channel to our internal Java based ERP system - PowerCentrix (PCX) where all the business logic is stored. VoicePCX allow already registered users at PCX to access resources, projects, and financial data simply by calling VoicePCX.

Audium/G Studio


VoicePCX application enables users to log in, select the project, and hear various reports about project status (project status report, timesheets and expenses report, going forward report etc.), order report via email and more. Projects list is generated on the fly (dynamically) depending on the caller’s role defined in PCX.

VoicePCX is deployed at internal Audium/GVP demo lab and can be accessed by using IP based phone (H.323 or SIP).

Demo Instructions

We recommend eStara softphone for the test purposes. Trial version of the eStara softphone is free and can be downloaded from http://www.estara.com/softphone/download.php.
Once you install eStara softphone, you will need to log in to softphone and then to type the URL of VoicePCX: sip:01@test1.pamet.co.yu
Note: Please check eStara softphone settings in case you are behind the firewall.

Once you reach VoicePCX, please use ‘test01’ (837801) password to log in to the system and the application will guide you from there. For the purpose of this demo we enabled Test user to access one project (code 6382) and to hear project status report (option 1 in the menu).
